How IVY TILE collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit ivy-tile.com, request a quotation or place an order. Last updated: 30 October 2026.
Who we are
This website is operated by IVY TILE L.L.C, a single-owner limited liability company registered in Dubai (Commercial Licence No. 1178978), trading as IVY TILE, with a showroom at Showroom 3-3, Al Quoz Industrial Area 3, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at info@ivy-tile.com.
Information we collect
• Your account: name, email address, a username created from your name, and your password, which is stored only as a one-way encrypted hash that we cannot read.
• Your orders: billing and delivery name, company (optional), address, emirate, phone number, email address, the products you order, your delivery or collection choice, order notes and the payment method you choose. Card payments are entered in a secure form provided by Stripe, so your full card number never reaches our website; for bank transfers, we see the transfer details our bank provides.
• Quotations: name, company (optional), email, phone, project location (optional), notes, and the products and quantities you select. The quotation is saved in our store system and emailed to you and to us.
• Messages: the name, email, subject and message you send through our contact form, which reach us by email.
• Technical and visit information: IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited. When you place an order, our store also records how you reached our website (for example a search engine, another website or a direct visit), your device type and the number of pages viewed in that visit ("order attribution"). Our hosting provider keeps server logs for security and operations.
• Preferences on your device: your cart, wishlist, recently viewed products and display settings. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use your information and why
• To take, process, deliver and support your orders, collections and returns, because this is necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To prepare and send the quotations you request and follow up on them, at your request before an order is placed.
• To run your account and send account emails such as the password setup link and password reset emails.
• To reply to your messages.
• To keep accounting, tax and transaction records, to comply with our legal obligations in the UAE.
• To protect the website and our customers from fraud and abuse, for example by limiting repeated failed login attempts.
• To understand which channels bring customers to us (order attribution).
We do not send marketing emails from this website.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only when it is needed:
• Website hosting and email: our hosting provider stores the website, its database and server logs, and sends our order, account and quotation emails.
• Delivery: the people delivering your order receive your name, phone number and delivery address.
• Card payments: card payments are processed by Stripe, which receives the information needed to process and check the payment, including device and browser information. We never see or store your full card number.
• Our bank, for payments you make by bank transfer.
• Advisers and authorities: our accountants, auditors and legal advisers, and government authorities when the law requires it.
We never sell your personal data.
Transfers outside the UAE
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside the UAE. When this happens we rely on the safeguards allowed by UAE data protection law, such as the contractual protections offered by those providers.
How long we keep it
• Orders and invoices: for as long as UAE commercial and tax law requires us to keep them.
• Customer accounts: until you ask us to delete your account.
• Quotations and messages: for as long as needed to answer and follow up on them.
• Security data such as failed-login counters: deleted automatically within one hour.
How we protect it
The website uses HTTPS encryption. Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes. Access to the store administration is limited to authorised staff, and repeated failed logins, password reset requests and account sign-ups are limited automatically. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects your personal data we will tell you and the authorities where the law requires.
Your rights
Under UAE data protection law, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, you may, subject to legal exceptions, ask us to give you access to and a copy of your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain uses of it, and withdraw any consent you have given. You can update your account details yourself in My Account. For any other request, email info@ivy-tile.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we respond. Some information, such as invoices, may have to be kept where the law requires. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the UAE Data Office.
Children
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
